Emerging Magpie & Whale Elite Programs

UNSW Wests are excited to announce our new Emerging Magpie & Whale Elite Programs for the summer season of 2015/2016. The main focus of this new initiate is to target potential future National League and international level players within our existing junior program and over the next few years fast track their development into our successful senior programs. The long term goal of this program is to sustain the success of the club at the highest level for the next decade and continue to improve on the results the club has had during its rich 50 year history.

The junior selection committee along with the Junior Directors (Daniel Streets & Annabelle Carter) and Head Coaches (Andrew Yanitsas & Luis Cruz) have been developing and framing this program since the completion of the 2014/2015 summer season. They have also completed a rigorous selection process for our inaugural programs and we are please to announce the following successful athletes;

These program will include additional training in the form of development camps, additional mentoring, additional testing and integration into the National League training programs where practical. We note that this is a great opportunity for these players to take advantage of the programs to further their development. We invite you to join us in congratulating the above athletes and we would also like to encourage those that missed on selection to continue their development in our current junior programs and push for selection for next year's squads.
